Medicaid Waiver Programs
The Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Supper and Snack Program provided by the San Antonio Food Back as part of the Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) funded by a U.S. Department of Agriculture grant. Parents with children between the ages of one and 18 years-old can pick up free "Grab and Go" meals and snacks at 9 community center sites and the San Antonio Natatorium.

Children with Special Health care Needs Program
The Children with Special Health Care Needs Services Program helps children 20 and younger who have special health care needs and people with cystic fibrosis of any age improve their health, well-being and quality of life. Focused on family-centered and community-based strategies, the program ensures families get services that honor and respect their cultural beliefs, traditions and values. All services must be medically necessary. These include: Medical Mental health Dental Vision Special medical equipment and supplies Family support services Community services Case management Who is Eligible for Services? Anyone who: Lives in Texas. Is 20 or younger or any age with a diagnosis of cystic fibrosis. Has an income level at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level. Has a medical condition that Is expected to last at least one year Will limit one or more major life activities Requires a higher level health care Has physical symptoms. Having only a mental, behavioral or emotional condition, or a delay in development won’t qualify).
Any Baby Can-Prescription Assistance
Any Baby Can’s Prescription Assistance Program (PAP) enables patients without medical insurance or who are underinsured apply for free or low cost prescription drugs. If you meet one or more of these guidelines you may qualify for our program: You have no health insurance or limited benefit coverage You have exhausted your coverage on Medicaid You have exhausted your coverage on Medicare Part D You are pending CHIP or Medicaid You have a chronic condition and need to receive medications regularly You meet the income guidelines set by the pharmaceutical company You have a regular physician Please click here to get started now! Medical Transportation
Must have Medicaid.
Nonemergency medical transportation services are available for a Medicaid beneficiary or their child. These services include rides to doctor's office, dentist's office, hospital, drug store or any place that provides covered health care services.
Types of rides include:
Public transportation, like the city bus.
A taxi or van service.
Commercial transit, like a bus or plane, to go to another city for an appointment.
Services may also include:
Money for gas.
Meals and lodging for children and youth 20 and younger staying overnight to get covered health care services.
Payment for some out-of-state travel to neighboring states (Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico).
